Your Comfort is Our Priority

For many people, the fear of discomfort is one of the main things that stops them from seeking dental care on a regular basis. Our team at Sugar House Smiles always focuses on making sure that you’re comfortable with the care you’re receiving, and we can offer different forms of sedation to make your visit a painless, anxiety-free one. Please let us know if you have any concerns before your appointment so that we can tailor your treatment according to your needs.
All-Digital X-Rays

X-rays are not new technology in the field of dentistry; they’ve been used for decades to help dentists locate cavities that would be difficult to detect with the naked eye. However, modern digital X-rays offer greater clarity, allowing us to capture more detailed information about your mouth. The images can be developed and made ready for viewing in just a few seconds, and there’s much less radiation involved compared to traditional radiography.
Oral Conscious Sedation Dentistry

If you choose to have oral conscious sedation performed at your dental visit, you’ll be given the sedative ahead of time. You’ll take it at a certain point before you get to our dental office so that the effects will have already started to kick in by the time we’re ready to start. With oral conscious sedation, anxious patients no longer need to fear more extensive treatments; in fact, in many cases, they don’t even have any memory of what happened during their visit!
Nitrous Oxide Sedation Dentistry

Nitrous oxide is a milder form of sedation that we recommend if you’re only a little nervous about your treatment. When nitrous oxide is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a special nasal mask, it puts you in a euphoric state where you’ll be unbothered by anything going on around you. Nitrous oxide is different from oral conscious sedation in that it wears off quickly, allowing you to get back to your normal routine right away instead of needing to rest at home.
