How Does ClearCorrect Work?

When you visit our Salt Lake City family dental office for ClearCorrect treatment, we take an impression of your teeth. This image is then sent off to the ClearCorrect lab where a model of your teeth is made. Our trusted cosmetic dentist near Sugar House uses this model to plan your treatment and design your customized clear aligners.
Once you have your aligners, you’ll wear them all day for about two weeks, only removing them to eat, brush, and floss. After 14 days, you’ll switch to the next aligner. You’ll begin to see the difference as each aligner straightens your teeth a little more. You’ll come in to see Dr. Teeple and Dr. Walker about every three weeks so we can check your progress and make sure that your treatment is on track.

ClearCorrect Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re ready to achieve a straight smile without the noticeability of brackets and wires, you might be a candidate for ClearCorrect in Sugar House. Although you’re excited to invest in a beautiful smile, we know you have several questions before you’re ready to commit to the treatment. There isn’t any reason to worry. We’ll take the time to explain the process during your initial consultation. In the meantime, here are the answers to a few of the most common questions we’re asked about the clear aligners.
Do clear aligners hurt?
Many people find clear aligners to be more comfortable than metal braces because there aren’t any brackets or wires irritating the soft tissues in the mouth. Unfortunately, there will be some discomfort when beginning your treatment or switching to a new aligner, but don’t worry, it dissipates within a couple of days. You can use an over-the-counter pain reliever to manage any discomfort.
Can teens use ClearCorrect?
ClearCorrect is often an excellent option for teens, but there are some exceptions. We’ll need to perform a thorough consultation to evaluate their orthodontic needs and ensure they’ve finished growing to create a customized treatment plan. Often, if your teen has finished growing, they are a candidate for the clear aligners because they are suitable for a variety of bite and alignment issues.
How long will my treatment take?
There isn’t any way to determine how long you’ll need to wear the aligners without first having a consultation. On average, most patients are finished with their series after about 12 months, but there are several factors that influence the duration of your treatment, like the complexity of your case.
Generally, patients who only need to make minor adjustments will finish their series sooner, while patients who need major changes will need more aligners. We will explain how long your treatment should take during your initial consultation. To ensure there aren’t any unnecessary delays added to your treatment, it’s best to follow your plan correctly, including wearing your aligners for the proper length of time each day and switching to a new one as recommended.
How much does ClearCorrect cost?
There isn’t a set fee for ClearCorrect in Salt Lake City because the price is based on your individual treatment plan, such as the number of aligners needed. We’ll provide you with a custom estimate during your consultation and discuss the fees associated with your treatment. We’ll take the time to explain your options to keep your new smile affordable.
Will my dental insurance pay for the aligners?
Every policy differs; however, most plans that have orthodontia coverage will cover a portion of the cost of the aligners. A member of our team will work on your behalf with your insurance company to file the necessary claim forms to lower your out-of-pocket expense. Our dental office accepts several payment options for any remaining balance, like third-party financing. We will help you find the solutions you need to align your teeth without breaking the bank.
